They will have an immediate chance at revenge on home soil at the Stadio XXV Aprile, and Cavinato has urged his side to improve their discipline to pick up their second win of the campaign.
He said: "There were a few things to look back on with regards to managing the game but in the end, the team with the greater belief won.
"We were too undisciplined and put ourselves under pressure in the second half. Games like this are good for Italian rugby, and we showed that we are not far off. I hope we can have another good game."
Skipper Marco Bortolami agreed with his coaching, explaining that some of the decision-making had been an issue and put his side under pressure.
He added: "They were very clever in the scrum, adapting better to the referee, so that is something we've had to work on. We know that we made mistakes in our game management, in our own half, making mistakes which put us under pressure. We need to improve that for the return game but I'm expecting a similar match."
