With Piers Francis nursing an injured foot, Bezuidenhout comes into the squad and with Greig Tonks also available to play at fly-half, Solomons believes Edinburgh, currently eighth in the RaboDirect PRO12 table, have plenty of strength in the position.
He said: "We brought Carl [Bezuidenhout] into the squad on a trial as well as to serve as injury cover. His availability presents us with selection options for Saturday's match-day squad.
"He's trained well with team since his arrival, while Greig Tonks has performed admirably since moving from full-back to fly-half so, despite still having injuries in this position, we go into the match in relatively good shape in that regard."
