His signature comes as more good news for Munster this week after Paul O'Connell also secured a fresh two-year contract to remain with the club.
And with Rob Penney's men primed for an assault on both the RaboDirect PRO12 and the European Cup heading into the business end of the season, Earls is relishing the battles to come.
