Four second-half tries from the hosts secured a bonus-point victory for Richard Hill's men, but Easterby's side had been 13-6 ahead at the break after an Andy Fenby score.
But a dominant second half from Worcester led them to what was a comfortable victory in the end, despite Kristian Phillips' consolation score.
And although disappointed with some of the sloppy mistakes on show in the second period, Easterby believes his young side that was hastily assembled put on a decent display.
"We were very competitive in the first half and I was really pleased at half-time with the way we had played in the right areas and managed the game well," he said.
"We showed good physicality and were turning their ball over in the contact, so there were lots of positive things.
"In the second half they held the ball much better and got an early score. Two of their tries came from our mistakes, but there were still lots of positives for us as the team was thrown together this week.
"There were a few new faces in there who went really well and I was really pleased with them, but we only had 33 per cent possession in the second half and territory wasn't much different."
