It is very important, especially for youngsters. It is good to be with players they like to watch and be in the environment and to have a bit of fun as well.
At that age it is great to have a bit of fun. We will try to bring those things in and make it quite fun and keep them doing different things - we don't want kids to get bored.
What can kids expect to learn on a RaboDirect PRO12 Masterclass?
It is not just the rugby side of things, but the team environment as well and the things that rugby brings to you.
If you play from a younger age, you understand the game more. I know players who have come in at an older age and they have found it more difficult. It is important for young kids to play all sports and see what they enjoy.
Are the youngsters of South Wales easy to inspire?
All the schools play rugby. It is the number one sport in Wales, but with Cardiff and Swansea doing well in the Premier League a lot of kids are playing football as well. We don't want to lose that talent to football. If we can get the kids in and encourage them to play and enjoy it, that is great.
How did you get into rugby as a youngster?
I played a lot of sports when I was younger - mainly football, rugby and golf. A few of my friends played rugby and I joined in and just went from there really. Sometimes when you get older it becomes more serious so it is important to enjoy yourself at that age.
I just enjoyed scoring tries, really - I was quite fast as a kid. I suppose I was pretty good and I just really enjoyed the game. The contact was a bit more fun than the football side of things.
What sets rugby apart from other sports?
In some sports you have got to be a certain build but in rugby you have got all sorts of shapes and sizes. They can all be part of the game, whether it's as a prop or a full-back - there is something for everyone.
What other important skills can kids learn on the rugby pitch?
As kids play and come together they meet a lot of new people and interact with other kids - that is quite important.
I think commitment is a big one - you have got to be committed if you want to get there - and it is good for discipline as well. It is quite important that kids understand that and know the rules of the game as well.
If you do something stupid you are letting people down and that is a really important part of learning what it means to be in a team.
