With a 25-21 victory over the Irish province at Parc y Scarlets, just rewards after losing out in the final facets of play at Musgrave Park earlier in the season, the Scarlets edged a little closer to the coveted top four spot.
Seven games and eight points (currently) separate the Scarlets and the fourth place in the RaboDirect PRO12 table.
With 13 points from a possible 15 in the last three rounds the Scarlets have recouped some of the ground lost earlier in the season with strong performances, playing with great spirit and endeavour both at home and away.
Following the victory over Munster at Parc y Scarlets on St David's Day captain Rob McCusker said: "We felt hard done by when we went to Musgrave Park so we were keen to avenge that and show the league that we can win these kind of games."
"It's great for us to keep momentum going and keep pressure on the teams above us … we are able to keep our sights firmly on the top and keep moving forward."
"We're concentrating on what's in front of us here and now, we're aiming for the top four against and hoping to go one better than we did last season."
With a break in RaboDirect PRO12 fixtures this weekend the Scarlets have been given a few days recovery and recuperation time following monitoring and conditioning work on Monday.
McCusker went on to say: "The boys will have a few days off now, we'll take the time to refresh and be ready to come again next week."
"We didn't do ourselves justice at the start of the season and we're having to make up for that now hopefully we haven't left it too late."
"We're on a bit of a roll and we'll refocus minds when we come back in from this short break."
With their sights firmly on the play-off spot but with still some tough opposition ahead McCusker added: "When your back's against the wall in any walk of life you come out swinging. We have to play the rest of the season as if our lives depended on it - that's what it will take to get us in to the top four."
