At the end of the players' post match huddle Edinburgh Rugby will welcome supporters on to the pitch, where they can pass, sidestep, score tries and kick goals at the national stadium.
Managing director, David Davies, said: "Very few have the honour of running out at Murrayfield and we thought that this was the ideal opportunity to offer that experience to our fans, who will hopefully bring a ball and have a bit of fun after the game."
"However, as the pitch is infected with a parasitic worm, we ask that fans do not try and take any of the surface home."
Remaining games relocated
The pitch works mean the club's two remaining home games will be relocated.
Following consultation with Edinburgh City Council, Edinburgh Leisure and Scottish Rugby, the match against Cardiff Blues on Friday 11 April is set for Meggetland (kick-off 7.45pm), while the location of the club's final home game - against Munster on the weekend of Friday 2 May - is to be confirmed.
Edinburgh Rugby v Cardiff Blues, Meggetland, Friday 11 April (kick-off 7.45pm)
Pre-sales and season ticket memberships mean that Meggetland (which sold out three days in advance of the previous match v Ospreys) is already at 80% of capacity.
Edinburgh Rugby therefore urge all fans to buy their tickets early and guarantee their place at what's set to be another great night at the local club ground.
Parking at Meggetland is restricted to disabled patrons with a blue badge.
To help fans get to the ground Edinburgh Rugby are again running a park and ride scheme from the Saughtonhall car park at Murrayfield.
Those wishing to use this service must note their interest in advance by emailing info@edinburghrugby.org , noting their preferred shuttle time of 6.10pm, 6.30pm or 6.50pm.
Tickets for Edinburgh Rugby's clash with Cardiff Blues will go on sale tonight (Friday) priced from £5 for under-18s, £10 for students and senior citizens and £20 for adults.
An electronic newsletter will be sent to all reserved and unreserved season ticket members outlining their specific seating, entrance and parking arrangements, while general information, from ticketing to finding the ground, will be available on the club's website, www.edinburghrugby.org.
