Keith Earls was the first to cross the whitewash to mark his return from injury before James Downey touched down on 55 minutes, with JJ Hanrahan adding the extras on both occasions.
But it was Jones who caught the eye of Holland with an assured display in defence as well as in attack, making yards almost every time he was in possession.
And with Munster back into second in the table, two points behind leaders Leinster, Holland knows it was important to grind out the result.
"We would have liked to have pushed on for a bonus point but it wasn't to be in those conditions, it was impossible to play rugby," he told Munster's official website.
"To be fair to Treviso they came at us, they didn't stop fighting, they were there until the 80th minute.
"There were a lot of Munster guys hoping to put in a performance, put their hands up for selection next week but it was difficult out there to stand out with the weather.
"Felix Jones had a superb game, under the high ball he was rock solid. It was great protection back there."
