It could conceivably smash the League record of 50,645 set for the same fixture at the same venue four seasons ago.
When it comes to public demand, there is no business like Leinster-Munster business, as demonstrated on a gigantic scale by the multitude at Croke Park for that European Cup semi-final five years ago - 82,208.
And the two provincial powerhouses could meet again in the Grand Final at the end of May - in Dublin or Limerick depending on their final RaboDirect PRO12 position.
Ulster, beaten finalists at the RDS last year, will have something to say about that. Ospreys, the only team to win two Grand Finals, both against Leinster in Dublin, will hope to have their say, too.
Between them, Leinster and Munster have won five Europe's supreme non-Test tournament five times.
Act 4 takes place a week before the heavyweights face quarter-final ties against French opponents - Munster against Toulouse in Limerick, Leinster at Toulon against the holders - a real clash of the Titans in that it will be either Jonny Wilkinson's last stand in Europe or, perish the thought, Brian O'Driscoll's.
Leinster's biggest crowds at the Aviva Stadium over the last four seasons:
50,645 v Munster, October 2, 2010 - Celtic League.
50,340 v Cardiff Blues, April 7, 2012 - European Cup quarter-final.
49,762 v Leicester Tigers, April 9, 2011 - European Cup quarter-final.
48,964 v Clermont Auvergne, December 15, 2012 - European Cup pool stage.
48,365 v Munster, November 4, 2011 - RaboDirect PRO12.
47,370 v Northampton Saints, December 14, 2013 - European Cup pool stage.
46,365 v Bath, December 17, 2011 - European Cup pool stage.
46,280 v Munster, October 6, 2012 - RaboDirect PRO12.
44,873 v Clermont Auvergne, December 18, 2010 - European Cup pool stage.
As the RaboDirect PRO12 gathers momentum for the final five rounds, five teams are in the running for the four play-off places.
In that respect, no match this weekend will be more crucial than the one at Scotstoun where the Warriors meet the team immediately above them, the Ospreys.
A home win will give the Glaswegians every prospect of displacing their Welsh rivals in the play-off zone, with a game in hand to boot.
Beaten semi-finalists in each of the last two seasons, most recently by a whisker against Leinster at the RDS, the Warriors are in the process of repairing the damage caused by successive home defeats before Christmas, against Munster and, more surprisingly, the Newport Gwent Dragons.
Their win over the Scarlets in sheeting rain last Saturday and Connacht's mauling of the Dragons at Newport the following day enabled Ireland's western province to close the gap on the west Walians to four points in the battle for sixth place.
Whoever finishes there can expect to secure the last of the seven places guaranteed to RaboDirect PRO12 clubs under the terms of the new Europe as proposed for next season.
The highest ranked Irish, Italian, Scottish and Welsh places will claim one place each with the other three determined by finishing position.
Connacht are up to seventh on the strength of four straight wins, over Edinburgh, Zebre, Treviso and the Dragons.
They have scored 13 tries in the process with their two longest-serving players, Michael Swift and John Muldoon, accounting for virtually half of them.
After touching down twice in the previous match against Treviso, Muldoon followed up with two more at Newport as a rampant Connacht pack bulldozed the Dragons into submission.
In two matches, therefore, the back row forward from Ballinasloe had scored more tries in the League than in the previous ten seasons put together.
Just as fourth plays fifth in Glasgow this weekend, so sixth hosts seventh at the Parc y Scarlets. Simon Easterby's team will play all five of their remaining fixtures in Wales - four at home, against Connacht, Zebre, Cardiff Blues and Newport Dragons with one away - at Cardiff against the Blues.
After Saturday, Connacht meet Ulster in Belfast before returning to Galway for successive home matches against Munster and the Blues. They finish their season against the Ospreys in Swansea.
