It's great to be involved as the club's RaboDirect PRO12 ambassador. It's all about representing the Scarlets and trying to increase the interest throughout the region and across Wales.
How important is it to the club to get young fans involved?
That's what I see as the main part of my role as ambassador. Obviously we've got the Masterclass coming up and that's all about getting the kids involved, showing them what it's like to be a professional rugby player and hopefully teach them a few things along the way. We're hoping that there might be one or two Scarlets of the future coming along.
What plans do you have for your Masterclass?
We will be showing them a day in the life of a rugby player and teaching them what we do day in day out. We'll also be doing a few exercises and making it as fun as possible for them.
What rugby memories do you have as a child?
I don't really think there was anything like this when I was younger but it would have been great if there was. I started playing at a young age because rugby is so big in the area and it's still thriving and hopefully things like this will encourage youngster to stick with the game.
Is rugby still as popular as ever within Wales?
Yeah I think it is. Obviously football is growing popularity in Wales with the two Premier League teams but I don't think numbers are down, if anything I think they are up. Rugby has always been popular in the region and I think it will continue to be. It has such a strong support and hopefully it will keep going from strength to strength.
