Benetton Treviso currently sit last but one in the table with the Welsh region in 9th place on 31 points. The Dragons last match against Treviso was in 2013 at Rodney Parade and the region came out on top, but the men of Gwent's only win at Stadio Monigo came on the 8th December 2007 in the European Cup.
Last week the Dragons took on Scottish side Edinburgh and unfortunately came away with a loss at Rodney Parade. The region did not suffer any injuries during this game. However whilst playing against Zebre, centre Ashley Smith injured his foot as he scored the second try of the night for the Dragons. After undergoing tests and scans on his foot it appears that he has injured his toe and will be seeing a specialist this week to determine the seriousness of the injury.
Prop Dan Way continues to make slow progress in rehab for his back injury so he has not been included in selection this week; he is joined in rehab by scrum half Luc Jones as he is out for a third week running with a knee injury.
International hooker T. Rhys Thomas has returned this week to train with the squad after recovering from his hand injury, but will not be up for selection against Treviso.
