That is in stark contrast to their recent return, with the last two games in Newport against Connacht and Edinburgh ending in defeat.
And Jones insists teams are becoming too aware of the Dragons' threats.
"All the way through the autumn we were focusing on our performances and I just felt we caught a lot of teams cold," Jones told Wales Online.
"I think they underestimated us and some of the work we did in pre-season caught team colds with our breakdown and defence. Teams didn't know how to deal with it.
"Subsequently you can see teams coming at us differently now and so we are adjusting to that."
