The victory away to Newport Gwent Dragons proved crucial in putting them to the front of a queue of teams all chasing a top-half finish.
However, defeat to the Blues could see them once again fall down the pecking order and Solomons is determined to stay ahead of the pack.
"This is another very important game for us. If we want to finish in the top half of the table then this is a game we have to win," he told the Edinburgh website.
"However, as we have said all season, we must not put the cart before the horse.
"We must perform well in order to have the prospect of getting a result."
