The club's penultimate home match of the season is quickly approaching the extended capacity of the Colinton club ground (3700), with the home side targeting a Welsh double after a 31-25 win over Ospreys at the same venue in February.
They face a Cardiff Blues side fresh from a home win over a high flying Ulster side and, while it has been over a year since they last won on the road, that success came at the expense of their hosts tomorrow night.
Mindful of their recent success, Solomons said: "Cardiff are a good side, who fully deserved their win against Ulster, so we know we are going to have a tough game on Friday night."
"They have some very good players in key positions who will present a big physical challenge, and their kicker has amongst the highest percentages in the PRO12, so our discipline has got to be good."
The match at Meggetland is the second of three games at the venue this season, with the club's last home game against Munster scheduled for Saturday 3 May (kick-off 5pm).
Solomons revealed that the players were looking forward to the more compact quarters.
"The players really enjoyed the atmosphere at Meggetland for the Ospreys match," he added.
"The ground was packed and the supporters were really close to the pitch, which is something they relish."
"There is a really good spirit building and a good sense of togetherness, and it's been positive for the squad to see that progress is being made."
"Under tough conditions they came out with a win against Dragons and I think that merited the team remaining in tact for the next match."
"This is another very important game for us. If we want to finish in the top half of the table then this is a game we have to win."
"However, as we have said all season, we must not put the cart before the horse."
"We must perform well in order to have the prospect of getting a result."
