First Cardiff Blues face Scarlets before Ospreys, requiring a win to stay in the hunt for the RaboDirect PRO12 play-offs, take on Newport Gwent Dragons.
That game could well see the Dragons' Taulupe Faletau play against Dan Baker, a challenger for his Wales No.8 shirt while the Ospreys also boast the likes of British & Irish Lions Alun Wyn Jones and Adam Jones as well as Wales fly-half Dan Biggar.
Fellow international stars Jonathan Davies, Liam Williams and Rhys Priestland are also in-line to play for the Scarlets, while Blues hooker and former Wales captain Matthew Rees is set to go head-to-head with former team-mate Ken Owens.
Last year's double header saw a feast of rugby, including George North's trademark score for Scarlets, Leigh Halfpenny's wonderful try for the Blues, a superb James King effort for Ospreys and a smart piece of play from the Dragons' Jonathan Evans

Elsewhere the race for the play-offs heats up with Leinster, who host Treviso on Friday, and Munster, who travel to Connacht on Saturday, looking to bounce back from defeats last weekend.
Ulster made the most of those slip-ups to climb to second and close the gap to four points but they face a difficult trip to Scotstoun on Friday to face Glasgow Warriors, who start the weekend in fourth, while Zebre host Edinburgh rugby on Saturday.
