Having helped his current region secure European qualification for next season, with a man of the match performance against Newport Gwent Dragons at the Parc last Friday, Josh Turnbull has stated that the Scarlets still have plenty left to do in the final game of the season.
With a huge battle at the Parc on Saturday 10th May, kick-off 6.30pm, against his new side Cardiff Blues, Turnbull is keen to end his time with the Scarlets in style.
Talking of securing European qualification for 2014-15 Turnbull said: "We first off targeted the top four and that didn't come off, after that we said lets qualify for the top 6 and make sure Scarlets are in Europe next year.
"We've secured that now, made a little hard work of it last week losing against the Blues and put a little bit of pressure on ourselves but we came out and delivered (against Dragons).
"I thought the forwards were outstanding and delivered a platform which put the backs on the front foot, everyone delivered tonight."
Despite heading East for the new season Turnbull is still fully committed to his home region, as his man of the match performance showed: "I said a few weeks ago that I was fully committed to the Scarlets. I owe it to them, I've been here 8 seasons, I want to finish with a bang.
"Even though I'm moving on I'm still going to support the Scarlets, I'm still going to be a fan. I've been a fan since I was a young boy and I will continue to follow them closely. I think next week will be a little emotional.
"The guys here are your friends, you've grown up with them. Myself and Jon (Davies) and we're leaving at the same time which is a little bit sad. Scarlets have been renowned for their development of young players and there's a whole host of young players coming through to fill those gaps. I think the Scarlets will only go upwards from here. I'm going to miss this place."
On Saturday 10th May, kick-off 6.30pm, Scarlets take on Cardiff Blues and say a fond farewell to career Scarlets Jonathan Davies and Josh Turnbull as well as bidding a fond farewell to Deacon Manu, Aled Thomas, Danny Wilson and Brad Harrington.
