On Friday the centre played in just his fourth match of the season as Glasgow sealed a 38-16 win over Treviso.
That win means Glasgow can claim their first ever home play-off if they win at home to Zebre on Saturday.
"We're really striving for a home play-off and the momentum is with us, so hopefully we can put in a good performance against Zebre on Saturday night and get the result we want," Horne told the club's website.
"Zebre are a tough team to play and they've beaten Ospreys and Edinburgh in their last two games so we know we'll need to be at our best."
Horne lasted the full 80 minutes in the win against Treviso and he is overjoyed to be back in the fold for the end of season run-in.
"I'm delighted to be back in the mix and I'm loving every minute of being involved," he said.
"It was great to get the win against Treviso on Friday and the manner of it in the end was fantastic."
