The 29-year-old Fijian international prop scored a crucial try in the 12-6 win over Leinster in September and has gone on to make 16 appearances for the Scotstoun-based side since joining last summer.
The Warriors know they will host their first ever play-off with a win over Zebre this weekend, with their top four place in the RaboDirect PRO12 already secured.
Jerry Yanuyanutawa said: "I've enjoyed my first season in Glasgow and I'm really happy to be staying at the club.
"We have a really strong squad and there is a lot of competition for places, which means you have to perform every time you're given the opportunity.
"We have a huge game on Saturday night against Zebre and we know that if we win we'll secure our first ever home play-off.
"It's a really exciting time to be at the club."
Glasgow Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend said: "Jerry has made a really positive contribution this season.
"He has worked hard on improving his game and always gives 100 percent when wearing the Warriors jersey.
"It's great news that he's staying at the club and he will provide us with competition in our front row next season."
