One of Glasgow Warriors' great strengths this season has been their ability to win on the road - and it started at the first attempt.
After seeing off Cardiff Blues 22-15 at Scotstoun in round one, the Warriors travelled to last year's beaten finalists Ulster and made it two wins from two.
Gregor Townsend's side were 12-6 down at the break and the score remained that way until the final minute of the match.
Glasgow were rewarded for their perseverance when James Eddie battled his way over in the dying seconds, before Stuart Hogg sent over the all-important conversion.
Wins at Zebre, Scarlets and Connacht soon followed but the next momentous scalp was a 28-16 victory at the Ospreys' Liberty Stadium in November.
Chris Cusiter, DTH van der Merwe and Ryan Wilson each scored as another second-half comeback saw them surge back from 13-6 down at the break - and further up the RaboDirect PRO12 table.
The Warriors were unbeaten on their travels until late February, when Newport Gwent Dragons and Leinster each sent them packing in back-to-back close contests.
But they re-discovered that golden touch in April, putting an abrupt end to Munster's unbeaten record at Thomond Park.
Sean Maitland, Jonny Gray and man of the match Josh Strauss scored in a dominant first half for the Warriors, who collected their fourth win on the bounce - a run that has now stretched to nine heading into the Final.
- 8 days to go - Leinster had eight different try scorers in their club record 62-7 win against Benetton Treviso in April
Leinster kicked off the RaboDirect PRO12 season in confident style, dispatching the Scarlets 42-19 in Wales.
As reigning champions for the first time in five years, Matt O'Connor's side laid down a marker as five different Boys in Blue - including Jimmy Gopperth, who claimed a 22-point haul - crossed over to score.
Leinster topped the table for much of the campaign and at the end of the regular season only Ospreys could boast a bigger points haul - and they were at their fluent best when Benetton Treviso came to town in April.
Treviso, in the thick of a battle with fellow Italian outfit Zebre to avoid finishing bottom, could do nothing to prevent the Leinstermen from running riot at the RDS.
Eight different try scorers, including two from centre Noel Reid, ensured Treviso returned to Italy with their tails between their legs.
And after a two-week break from RaboDirect PRO12 action, they returned to claim another impressive victory - this one at Ulster's Ravenhill.
With the hosts chasing confirmation of their playoff berth Paddy Jackson scored a try and five penalties but Shane Jennings' second-half score was the decisive contribution in a 22-20 win.
Ulster's playoff spot was confirmed despite the result, but victory ensured Leinster preserved the momentum that has taken them all the way to the Final.
