The 22-year-old has been included in Warren Gatland's Possibles squad that will take on a team of Probables at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea on May 30.
Prydie, who has already picked up five international caps, is hoping that injuries to Amos and Leigh Halfpenny will allow him to stake his claim for a spot in the 31-man squad and act as back up to British & Irish Lions stars George North and Alex Cuthbert.
The former Ospreys back, who made his last appearance for Wales in their tour of Japan in 2013, has made only 14 RaboDirect PRO12 appearances for the Dragons this season because of his own injury setbacks.
But now that he is fit and available, Prydie is determined to take his opportunity in the trial match with both hands.
"It's a great opportunityto be in the Welsh set-up again and impress the coaches," he told the Western Telegraph.
"It's good to be in a quality environment with the top players in the country. Fingers crossed I can do well all week and play well in the trial and hopefully get on the flight.
"George (North) and Alex (Cuthbert) are great players and deserve their places on the wing but the rest of us are looking to push them hard. That's a huge challenge but one I'm looking forward to."
