There has been somewhat of a reshuffle at Ravenhill with director of rugby David Humphreys switching to Gloucester before it was announced this week that head Mark Anscombe was leaving the province with immediate effect.
Kiss has since been confirmed as taking up the position of interim Director of Rugby to allow time for a review of the coaching structures at Ulster Rugby to take place.
The team finished in fourth place last season before losing to eventual PRO12 champions Leinster 13-9 at the semi-final stage.
And with Ulster now not having lifted a trophy since their 2005/2006 league success, Bowe is keen to change that run next season under Kiss.
"With the experience he (Kiss) has and the rugby knowledge and the attention to detail that he brings, he will be a great man to take Ulster Rugby forward," Bowe told the Belfast Telegraph. "I think he is a great appointment.
"It's great that it's happened at the start of the season so we can get on with it now and look forward to an exciting season ahead.
"Ulster rugby have definitely gone forward over the last couple of years - but we want to be winning trophies, and as a player I want to be part of a winning team.
"We have had the team, and still have one that is capable of winning trophies.
"With a little bit of bad luck and mistakes, that hasn't happened."
