Fish made 13 appearances for the Blues last season and wants to match that tally in this GUINNESS PRO12 season.
While the departure of Leigh Halfpenny might open some doors for Fish, the arrival of Kiwi Gareth Anscombe presents a new challenge.
But it is one that the 23-year-old is ready for as he gears up for what he hopes will be a memorable season.
"Last year was undoubtedly the season of my career so far," said Fish.
"I want to play week in week out and luckily last year I played a lot of games.
"Hopefully I can play the same amount or more this year but I need to start the season well and then keep on going.
"I'd be happy to play anywhere for the Blues. They're the club I want to play for, my local team and it's just an honour to get the chance to wear the jersey.
"There have been some new arrivals at the Blues this year but it just adds to the competition.
"Obviously Gareth Anscombe comes in who can play full-back but it's healthy competition and is only going to help me play better. If you deserve it, you will play there."
