Ten tries in the PRO12 put him top of the scoring charts at the end of the season and Davies was soon on the bench for both of Wales' summer Tests against South Africa.
The 24-year-old came on as a replacement for Mike Phillips in the Red Dragons' first Test defeat in Durban and demonstrated his livewire skill-set with a superb break that nearly resulted in a Dan Biggar try.
Davies remained an unused replacement in their gut-wrenching second Test defeat however, but the scrum-half will enter the new campaign keen to build on a breakthrough 2013/14 season.
Having come through the academy in 2006 and with more than 100 Scarlets appearances and 100 points to his name, Davies has already become part of the furniture in South Wales.
