South African Ruan Pienaar was the star, kicking six conversions as well as scoring a try himself, with Jared Payne going over twice and Roger Wilson and Craig Gilroy scoring one apiece.
However the win came at a cost with flanker Ferris, returning to the side for the first time in a month because of a back injury, limping off with an ankle problem.
The initial injury occurred just after half-time and despite playing on Ferris was forced to admit defeat and was replaced in the 46th minute by Nick Williams.
Ferris was only playing for his club side due to a lack of time on the pitch because of his recent back injury but it appears to have backfired with internationals against South Africa and Argentina to come this month.
"Ferris' ankle was swelling badly and it was certainly not looking good," said Anscombe.
