The programme wants to see more people pledge to get involved with the club and the city, working alongside the 'Get Involved In Parma' initiative which encourages more people to make themselves available as city volunteers.
The town council wants its citizens to have a greater role in social, cultural, sporting and educational establishments.
"The team believes rugby is a sport that unites," said a spokesman from Zebre. "Zebre Rugby team are glad to be supporting the project, with the desire to build a larger and larger 'Zebre family' on and off the field.
"No matter how long you volunteer, whether it be a one-off occasion, two mornings a month, one day a week or every day for an hour, it is important to ensure a joint sense of responsibility for our city."
The project logo will now appear on the club match shirt and the players themselves will devote their own time to volunteer activities within the city.
By becoming volunteers and role models for the people of Parma, the club believes the players will give the citizens a greater understanding of the goals and values carried forward from rugby, a sport deeply rooted in Italian society.
