Benetton Rugby - Team Announcement

After the match in Swansea against the Ospreys in Round 1 and waiting to go to Newport to play against the Dragons next week, the Lions will make the visit to the Scarlets in Llanelli.

The game will be played tomorrow night at 6pm GMT with direction entrusted to the Italian referee Matteo Liperini in his 7th PRO12 match.

In total there are 8 new faces in the starting line-up from last week's game at Monigo's stadium: the loss 10-21 against Munster.

Players that keep their places are Matteo Muccignat, Rupert Harden, Corniel Van Zyl, Tomas Vallejos Cinalli and Mat Luamanu, while Sam Christie and Michele Campagnaro are in the team but in different positions.

The Maori will lead from the number 10 jersey together with James Ambrosini at scrum half.

The promising Italian international will play as outside centre alongside Alberto Sgarbi, while wingers and fullback all change.

Andrea Pratichetti and Angelo Esposito will play on the wing, while Ruggero Trevisan will make his green and white debut as fullback.

Ruggero Trevisan - not considering Davide Giazzon who played for Aironi only as permit player - is set to become the first official Italian player to play for 3 different Italian teams in PRO12. He moved to Treviso this summer after two seasons at Zebre and one at Aironi.

Among the forwards, Marco Lazzaroni starts as flanker and Giovanni Maistri as hooker, while Antonio Pavanello will be back as lock and will also regain the captaincy.
