Liam Williams and Gareth Davies grabbed two tries apiece while Gareth Owen, Emyr Phillips and Joe Snyman also touched down in the Welsh region's 43-0 triumph at Parc y Scarlets on Saturday.
But Pivac admitted he was just as pleased with not allowing Treviso to trouble the scorers as he was with his own team's seven-try haul.
And after a 42-12 reverse against Leinster last weekend, the former Auckland coach says he couldn't have asked for a better response from his troops.
"When you are on the receiving end of a hiding, those seven days afterwards for the next game can't come quick enough to put it right, especially when you are at home," Pivac told the South Wales Evening Post.
"We wanted to get out of the blocks quickly and we achieved that. We had something like 90 per cent of possession in that opening quarter and did some pretty good things to maintain the ball.
"The zero was really pleasing - to keep a clean sheet doesn't happen much in the modern game and it was one of the goals we gave the players at half-time.
"Byron Hayward [defence coach] has been doing a lot of work behind the scenes, but we have been letting ourselves down with individual errors in our previous two matches.
"We were able to reduce those numbers, both in defence and with turnovers. We were still a little bit loose at times but that is part of our nature.
"And there are times when we need to make better decisions about when to off-load or go through another phase, but it is very, very pleasing to get that final scoreline."
