In their first six GUINNESS PRO12 games this season, Jones' Dragons have managed to rack up just the one win, that coming with a 33-15 victory over Benetton Treviso on September 28.
That has left the Welsh region sitting ninth in the GUINNESS PRO12 table and they will have to wait until November to see if they can climb higher as European competition takes over.
The Dragons kickstart their European adventure with a trip to Stade Francais first up and despite a tricky start to the season Jones is not prepared to throw in the towel any time soon.
"What we have got to do is get to round six in a position where we have to beat Stade Français," said Jones.
"To do that we need some sort of bonus point from the match on Saturday and nothing is impossible.
"We are excited about playing in a new competition and it's about time we did well in Europe and got a bit of respect.
"We are under no illusions about how difficult it is going to be to win, but it's about going there, believing ourselves, and hitting our KPIs.
"If you do that you never know what can happen - it's a funny old game.
"We appreciate we are at the bottom of our game at the moment, but that can quickly turn around."
