Guinness pay tribute to Munster's miracle men

Indeed, while the national side is still yet to beat the all-conquering Kiwis, the red shirts of Munster have already done it.

It happened on a famous October afternoon back in 1978, in a match that will forever go down in mythology and has been recognised as part of a series of Guinness videos.

That both a stage play and a best-selling book have been written to commemorate that famous match tells you everything you need to know about its importance to the GUINNESS PRO12 side.

The series of Guinness videos also focuses on other legends in the sport with Welsh winger Shane Williams' triumph over adversity brought sharply into focus.

The former Ospreys flyer, who stood only 5ft7in tall, was often told he was too small to make it in the professional game but finished his career as Wales' record try scorer and a British & Irish Lion.

Also recognised are Jonny Wilkinson, for his positive effect on the people of Toulon, and commentator Bill McLaren - also known as the voice of rugby - for his rise to the top after tuberculosis robbed him of a playing career.
