Bennett, who has made four appearances in the GUINNESS PRO12 this season, is set to make his Scotland debut when he lines up at BT Murrayfield to take on Argentina.
With ten of Scotland's starting XV plying their trade at Scotstoun, Bennett will be surrounded by familiar faces for his debut.
And Hogg believes the 21-year-old centre will have no trouble slotting straight into the side.
"All of our backline are from Glasgow, apart from Greig Laidlaw. These are combinations we have worked on all season and it is great we get the chance to do it in a Scotland jersey," Hogg told the Daily Record.
"Mark and I have been rooming this week although I'm not sure I'm the best guy to keep him calm - talk about the blind leading the blind.
"We have known each other since we were 12 or 13 and we've come through various Scotland age groups together.
"But Mark is different class. You only have to give him the ball and something magical will happen.
"He has put in some cracking performances for Glasgow and I'm glad he has got his reward with this call up."
