Scott has been out of action for six months since he dislocated his shoulder against Leinster in May.
The 24-year-old has subsequently missed the start of the current GUINNESS PRO12 season, but has been named on the bench by Solomons, who is welcoming back a number of stars from injury.
But centre Scott is the biggest name to return, and Solomons says it will give the whole club a lift.
"It is great to have Matty back," he told The Scotsman. "Whenever players get injured, and we have had a few of late, you want to see them back out there and fully fit as soon as possible.
"It has been a frustrating time for him, but he has worked hard and we are delighted to welcome him back as he is a quality player."
