The Dragons are still searching for their second win in the GUINNESS PRO12 this season, with their sole victory to date coming in round four against Treviso.
Their European form however suggests there is far more to come, with last weekend's away win against Bucharest Wolves adding to victory over Stade Francais and a close-run defeat against Newcastle Falcons.
The Welsh region will now welcome Bucharest to town for the home fixture this Friday - but he admits improving their domestic form is high on the agenda.
"We are trying to create a team and build confidence. It's not just about Bucharest on Friday, it's about Zebre and Cardiff Blues and building momentum," Jones told the South Wales Argus.
"In our first two months of the season we were decimated by injuries and it's difficult to build any momentum when you have to keep on changing four or five players every week.
"We want to win our group and want to go through to the quarters in our own right.
"We are very confident that we can build on this win and beat Newcastle and Stade Francais."
