The GUINNESS PRO12 strugglers recovered from an early 10-0 deficit in Romania last weekend to run in 37 points unanswered and take a giant step towards a European quarter-final.
Evans began that match from the bench, playing second fiddle to Richie Rees as he has had to for most of the domestic season.
But the 22-year-old has been handed the No.9 shirt from the start at Rodney Parade and will hope to help his team hit the ground running.
"The first ten minutes will be the most important," Evans told the South Wales Argus. "We need to take the game to Bucharest and not gift them possession and penalties.
"At the start of last week's game I thought 'oh no, what are we in for'. But then we did really well to stop their momentum and I don't think they could keep up with us.
"It's in our favour this time - the conditions, our home pitch and they will have had the travel. We need to make sure we start the game really well and don't let them get a foothold."
