Home sweet home in round 10 of the GUINNESS PRO12

The last time a GUINNESS PRO12 team tasted victory on the road was Friday 21 November when Munster left Rodney Parade with a 38-12 triumph over Newport Gwent Dragons.

And a 31-20 home victory for Ospreys over Ulster on Saturday was not only the Welsh region's eight straight GUINNESS PRO12 success at the Liberty Stadium, but also saw them back to the top of the table, a position they have held for eight of the 10 rounds so far this season.

If they are to make it nine then they will be hoping history repeats itself in Saturday's derby with Welsh rivals Scarlets at the Liberty Stadium - the visitors having not won at the venue in the league since September 2007.

It is another Welsh derby that kicks off the post-Christmas GUINNESS PRO12 action as on Boxing Day Cardiff Blues welcome Newport Gwent Dragons to the capital.

But the action doesn't stop there on Boxing Day as third-place Munster - who swapped places with second-place Glasgow Warriors after a 21-18 round 10 defeat to the Scottish side - welcome rivals Leinster to Thomond Park, a side currently one place and one point below them in the table.

And rounding off the Boxing Day action is another tantalising Irish derby as Connacht travel to UIster, with both sides looking to get back to winning ways after respective defeats to Leinster and Ospreys in round ten.

Saturday also sees the first leg of the 1872 Cup clash between Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh at Scotstoun.
The Warriors have held on to the trophy for five successive seasons since they won it in the 2009/10 campaign, and - if their form in the GUINNESS PRO12 is any guide - it will take two impressive performances to wrestle it from their grip.

And round 11 wraps up in Italy on Sunday with national bragging rights and future European qualification the main objective for Zebre and Benetton Treviso in the first of back-to-back fixtures.
