Amos, 20, had been earmarked as one for the future from a very early age, becoming the youngest ever PRO12 player in history when he started against Ospreys in April 2012 at the age of 17 years and 208 days.
Go even further back and he had barely turned 17 when he made his first appearance for the region in the Anglo-Welsh Cup, promptly scoring a first-half try at Wasps.
International recognition inevitably followed, first earning a call up for Wales Under-20s in 2013 and - in a typically rapid rise - made a first senior start for his nation against Tonga later on that year.
Such is Wales' back-line talent, Amos has had to wait patiently for another dabble at international level, but the Dragons are certainly glad to have him fit and firing over Christmas.
Lyn Jones' troops have picked up just two GUINNESS PRO12 wins this season but Amos has been vital in both, with a try-double to down Benetton Treviso and another score against Zebre on Sunday.
And with the likes of Tom Prydie, Taulupe Faletau and Elliot Dee making a name for themselves at the Dragons too, Amos and company have a lot to look forward to in the coming years.
