The 20-year-old is joined by Tyler Morgan, 19, in midfield for Cardiff Blues' GUINNESS PRO12 visit to Rodney Parade, while the back three is made up of Matthew Pewtner, 24, Tom Prydie, 22, and 20-year-old Hallam Amos.
Those five all started as the Dragons won at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park on Boxing Day and they are out to complete a double over the Blues.
However, it is in the long term that Dixon is most excited about his new partnership and those around them.
"Me and Tyler are working on our partnership and there's more to come from us," he told the South Wales Argus.
"It's a young back line but one that I think can do some damage. We are creating a lot of opportunities so it's just about finishing them and getting some more tries under our belt."
As for Cardiff's visit, Dixon is determined to win the physical battle and ensure the Dragons don't let go of their bragging rights.
He added: "We've worked on bits and bobs but haven't had enough time to change a lot. We've just got to be really physical again and stick to our game plan.
"We were really pleased with the performance in Cardiff and it was nice to get a lot of congratulations from friends, family and supporters but that win means nothing unless we go out there and beat them again."
