The Warriors' first defeat came against Ulster in October and they responded with a victory over Treviso, while defeat to Scarlets in November was followed by a win at home to Newport Gwent Dragons.
Indeed the only time Gregor Townsend's men have tasted back-to-back defeats has been in Europe, going down home and away to Toulouse.
However, even then Russell and co were able to return to winning ways immediately with a 21-18 triumph over Munster in the GUINNESS PRO12.
And the 22-year-old believes his side have a knack of responding to adversity.
"At times you maybe think 'this could be a dip in the season' but we bounce back," he told the Glasgow Evening Times.
"After being beaten by Toulouse we came back and beat Munster, and to be honest after each loss we've had a high after it which has kept us on the front foot. That's what we need this weekend.
"Scarlets have struggled a little bit on the road but last weekend they showed how good they can be by beating the top team in the league (Ospreys).
"I don't think it will matter if it is home or away for them, they will be confident going into this game and we'll have to be at our best to beat them.
"It's a massive game for us, especially after losing last Friday. Obviously Scarlets are on form just now, but a good win on Friday would put us in a good position ahead of the European fixtures."
