Jones has already played 12 times for the Swansea outfit this season, starting their last five games on the bounce after playing in all four autumn internationals for Wales.
The tireless 29-year-old lock has showed no signs of slowing down however, and Tandy is adamant his astounding performances in the GUINNESS PRO12 do the talking.
"In fairness to Alun Wyn, he's just phenomenal," he told Wales. "We are trying to manage him throughout the weeks and we've given him a couple of days off here and there.
"But you see him in training and he's constantly trying to get better, trying to learn, driving standards.
"You see the work we do in the barn, playing touch games and practising the tackle contest and stuff - he's at the forefront of everything and doesn't shy away from anything."
Jones himself admits he is unsure of the toll all the games will take, as he looks ahead to the Ospreys clash with Newport Gwent Dragons on Sunday.
He said: "I can't tell you how I feel until further down the line, later on in the season.
"But at the moment, it's where we are at because of the people we have or don't have in the position. It's something we just have to get on with."
"Newport will pose a tough challenge. If you look at the way their games went over Christmas, they won away at the Blues and almost snuck it from a five-metre scrum in the return.
"Their tails are going to be up. You look at what they've been trying to achieve with their signings and their youth and experience, and you see that it came to the fore over Christmas."
