The scrum-half had an outstanding end to 2014, helping the Ospreys currently sit proudly atop the GUINNESS PRO12 standings with a remarkable seven tries from nine appearances.
With little over half of the current campaign gone, the Wales international has already surpassed his previous record for tries scored in a season - which stood at five way back in 2011/12.
But Rees says Webb's imperious form has given opponents food for thought - which benefits the entire team.
"When teams focus on our half-backs, it can create space," said Rees.
"We are seeing our forwards make line-breaks because teams are arrowing in on the half-backs. So it does open up gaps and have its advantages."
Webb made a perfect start to the current campaign, notching four tries in the Ospreys' opening three GUINNESS PRO12 matches against Treviso, Newport Gwent Dragons and Edinburgh.
Indeed, the 26-year-old has only failed to score in four games in which he has played in the competition this season - form which will see him be a key member of Warren Gatland's Wales squad over the coming months.
