Morisi scored twice at Twickenham on Saturday during Italy's 47-17 defeat to England on his 11th appearance for the Azzurri after making his debut in 2012.
Along with captain Sergio Parisse, Morisi has been one of Italy's top performers so far this season.
However, whether he would return to the international arena at all was in doubt after he needed surgery to remove his spleen after a bruising tackle by Fiji's Asaeli Tikoirotuma in 2013 left it so badly damaged.
Because of this, the Benetton Treviso centre has been restricted to making only 26 GUINNESS PRO12 appearances for his club in four years.
Morisi is one who had been considered a future star having shone for Italy Under-20s but his recent displays will make Italy head coach Jacques Brunel take notice.
Treviso currently lie 11th in the GUINNESS PRO12 table and the challenge now for Morisi is to drive them up the standings and increase his growing - and already glowing - reputation.
