Munster scored tries through Jack O'Donoghue, Eusebio Guinazu, Keith Earls and CJ Stander to seal a 22-10 victory and move one point clear of Glasgow at the league's summit.
Connor Braid hit five points from the tee and prop Rossouw De Klerk crossed the whitewash for the Scottish side but Munster's power proved pivotal in the end.
However, Kellock believes Glasgow, who were missing 23 players through international call-ups, injuries and suspension, are still in a good position to challenge for honours, having won 12 of their 16 league fixtures this term.
"We have put ourselves in a very good position," explained the Warriors captain. "So far in the Six Nations there have been very good results for us.
"This was obviously a disappointment but we have got to rally and get the home win next week. Our destiny is very much in our own hands because of what we have done up until this point.
"We are disappointed. We did not get the small details right in the first half, we gave them two tries down the blind-side.
"The organisation was not what it should have been . We left ourselves a bit to do in the second half.
"In saying that, the first 15 to 20 minutes of that second half I was really pleased with the effort we showed after the chat we had a half-time.
"It is a challenge for every team during the Six Nations. We have got to make sure we have the strength in depth and we do - we have the ability to win games but we just need to get the details right."
