Retaining his place at fullback is Greig Tonks while Dougie Fife - who was a late withdrawal from the starters last week due to a nose injury - comes back on the right wing with Tim Visser on the left. Phil Burleigh and Andries Strauss maintain their centre pairing with Tom Heathcote at stand-off and at scrum half last week's man of the match - for the third week in succession, after kicking two penalties and three conversions on Sunday - is Sam Hidalgo-Clyne.
The pack is unchanged since Sunday's European outing, with Alasdair Dickinson at loosehead, opening try scorer from the weekend W P Nel at tighthead and Ross Ford at hooker. Ford will also captain the side again as Mike Coman continues with his return to play protocols following a head knock against Scarlets two weeks ago.
Meanwhile Anton Bresler and Ben Toolis form the partnership at lock with Roddy Grant, Hamish Watson and David Denton in the back row at blindside, openside and no 8 respectively.
The bench sees only two changes with Grant Shiells coming in for Rory Sutherland, who is progressing through return to play protocols following a head knock in the closing minutes against London Irish, and Tom Brown moving to the replacements as Dougie Fife starts.
The Irish side, who currently lie third in the Guinness PRO12 table, arrive having lost just one of their last six league fixtures and, not being involved in European competition, last played two weeks ago when they won at home against Connacht.
Edinburgh's last meeting with Munster, in the first round of league fixtures this season, saw the capital club beat the home side, 14-13, their first opening round victory since 2009.
In the race for a sixth place finish, and qualification for next season's European Rugby Champions Cup, Edinburgh are currently sixth equal on points with Connacht, three points ahead of Scarlets. A sixth place finish in the league would see Edinburgh through while a seventh spot precipitates play-off matches.
Although preparing for a home semi final in the Champions' Cup next week, the winner of this European trophy will not qualify for the upper tier of the 2015/16 competition.
Head coach Alan Solomons said: "Munster come to BT Murrayfield at full strength, well rested, on the back of a great Six Nations for Ireland and being out of Europe, they only have the PRO12 play-offs on their mind.
"So we are all fully aware of what Saturday brings.
"The players are looking forward to what will be a big match and know that only their best will do."
