Gilroy has scored 11 tries in the GUINNESS PRO12 this season, including a memorable score in victory over Leinster last time out, to help his side secure a play-off spot with two games to spare.
The Ireland international also became the youngest player to make 100 appearances for Ulster against Benetton Treviso in February, beginning a remarkable run of form that has seen him grab eight tries in his last seven GUINNESS PRO12 encounters.
Elsewhere, there were also awards for Darren Cave and Stuart McCloskey, while captain Rory Best was named Ulster Rugby Personality of the Year as he hopes to lead his side to this year's GUINNESS PRO12 title.
The citation for the presentation stated: "Rory epitomises the connection between the players on the pitch and the supporters in the stand. He leads the team by example and through his own dedication and relentless commitment, inspires others."
