On the face of it hosts the Dragons have little to play for in their final two games as they sit ninth and cannot mathematically climb into that top six.
But director of rugby Jones is adamant his troops will fight until the very end of the campaign.
"Edinburgh are playing for a place in Europe so have plenty of motivation but ours is pride and finishing the season on a high," Jones told the South Wales Argus.
"We are looking ahead already to the next campaign and ensuring that we get the foundations right and step into next season confident."
