The thousand-mile open-road endurance race took place in Italy 24 times between 1927 and 1957 before it was re-born 20 years later.
Since 1977 the Mille Miglia has showcased a range of vintage cars like Alfa Romeo, BMW, Ferrari, Maserati, Mercedes Benz and Porsche.
This year the route from Brescia to Rome will see its third leg finish in Parma on Saturday May 16 - the day of Zebre's final game of the GUINNESS PRO12 season, away at Cardiff Blues.
In anticipation of that, this weekend's clash with Connacht at the Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi will be used to promote the Mille Miglia.
The Zebre squad will also be in Brescia next Wednesday for the registration of the cars and, on the day itself, a selection of players not involved at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park will be in attendance at the finish line - in the historical Piazza Duomo.
