Four years ago the Warriors were averaging crowds of fewer than 3,000. Now they have more than doubled that to almost 6,500 with every prospect that the graph will maintain its steep upward curve.
Along the way they have outnumbered recent attendances in the Scottish Premiership. Of last weekend's six fixtures, all but one had gates way below the Warriors - Dundee (5,123), St Johnstone (4,862), Motherwell (3,986), Ross County (3,098) and Hamilton Academicals (2,342). The one exception, Aberdeen, had almost 17,000 for their home match against Celtic.
As Warriors managing director Nathan Bombrys says: "It's great to see the people of Glasgow supporting the team in ever rising numbers. More and more are getting switched-on to rugby and that's wonderful because it shows they enjoy what we do."
For the Warriors, one number will matter more than any other when the dust settles on the final round of Guinness PRO12 matches - whether they finish where they have been all season, in the top two. A four-point win over Ulster and completion of the perfect eleven from eleven home record may not be enough to ensure a return to Scotstoun in the play-offs.
If Munster (home to the Newport Gwent Dragons) and Ospreys (away to Connacht) take the maximum five points, then the Warriors will have to match them to stay in the top two.
The blanket finish makes this the most riveting climax - one point separating four teams with all matches kicking off simultaneously on Saturday afternoon. The only certainty is that all four will compete in the Play-Offs. Intriguingly, all four can still earn a home semi-final, some with brighter prospects than others.
Munster's finish is in stark contrast to their start back in September when they lost two of their three opening home games, to Edinburgh and Ospreys. Having taken 19 points from a maximum 20 in their last four outings at home, they will settle for nothing less than five more against the Dragons in Cork.
Paul O'Connell & Co. would have been two points clear of the field but for Ulster's magnificent come-back at the end of a mighty duel in Belfast where they know all about creations on a Titanic scale. Paul Marshall's stoppage-time try left Paddy Jackson a conversion from far out towards the left hand touchline with the last kick of the match.
Ulster's fly-half made light of the ultimate in pressure kicks, nailing it to secure the most honourable of draws with the last kick of a gripping match of the highest quality. That was never better illustrated than by Iain Henderson's one-handed off-load for Tommy Bowe's scintillating try and Keith Earls' sharp finish for Munster.
From a position where they were in some danger of being stripped of a solitary losing bonus point, Ulster managed their grandstand finish with 14 men following Henderson's red card from referee Nigel Owens.
The draw between old inter-provincial rivals made the Ospreys the big winners of the weekend before their biggest five-figure crowd of the season against the Warriors in Swansea. Again, the Scottish contenders failed to take a losing bonus point just as they have failed to take one all season from any of their four other defeats on the road - against Ulster (9-29), Scarlets (9-19), Edinburgh (8-20), Munster (10-22),
One point would have left them needing nothing more fanciful than a 3-0 win over Ulster to finish in the top two by virtue of one more win over the season than Munster.
The possibilities are endless. Here are a few!
