It was not so successful a return to the starting XV for the 24-year-old as the Warriors were downed 21-10 by title rivals Ospreys last time out, to leave their chances of a home semi-final hinging on a crucial final game against Ulster on Saturday.
Yet with Glasgow the only team to boast a 100 per cent home winning record in the GUINNESS PRO12 this campaign, Weir is confident his side can prevail at Scotstoun.
"It's been a longer process for me but I'm happy where I'm at at the minute and my fitness was fine at the weekend, so I'm really happy with my game and looking forward to the weekend," he told the Glasgow Warriors website.
"It's about grasping every opportunity that comes my way, it'll be a squad effort and hopefully we can get a win and look to reach the final again this year.
"We can learn a lot from our last game against Ospreys. We had many unforced errors in our own half which gave them cheap field possession.
"They managed to keep the scoreboard ticking over and we didn't play the way we can in our own third.
"Ulster have been up at the top of the league for many years now and every time we play them we know it's going to be a hard battle because of the physicality that they bring.
"Everyone needs to be patient and know their role in order to break them down to try and pick up the win."
