The last round will see all six challenges to be played simultaneously with the XV of the Italian Northwest still competing to define the final table placeing needed to participate in one of the two European cup competitions organized by EPCR. In the five previous meetings against the Welsh side - directed by coaches due John & McIntosh - the Blues lead with three wins against two Italian ones. Zebre Rugby defeated Warburton and companions twice last season.
In the first leg of the encounter, in the first round of the Guinness PRO12, it was the Welsh side which took the win 26-41 last September; the Blues have nothing to achieve from the table standings already being sure of tenth place but all the players involved in the game will want to shine in view of Italy and Wales team announcements for the 2015 World Cup to be held in England in September and October.
It will be a special game for many players who will wear their respective jerseys for the last time such as prop Adam Jones or scrum half Brendon Leonard; while Mauro Bergamasco will face his last club career game after 18 rugby seasons.
