But Tandy would be quite content to see Munster adopt that tactic and allow the rest of his team - who won their last six games of the regular season to place third in the final league table - space to run riot and get their team to the first final since 2012.
"His battle with Conor Murray will be mouthwatering, but there are mouthwatering battles across the pitch," Tandy told the South Wales Evening Post.
"Individuals throughout the season have helped us win games, but the team has been at the forefront of everything and that is the exciting thing for me.
"When you walk into that changing room it is a real team, it doesn't rely on one player.
"Rhys is in great shape, he is really confident and has a rounded game now. You see teams now trying to shut him out. You listen to the mics and things and you hear them picking him up.
"But that will create more space for someone else."
