Part of the show's appeal and what has made it so popular with millions of fans are the mesmerising fantasy lands of Westeros which of course have been brought to life using Northern Ireland's coastlines, castles, countryside and forests.
The dramatic scenery of the Causeway Coast and Glens, County Down and County Armagh forms the backdrop for much of the show, which is broadcast on Sky Atlantic on these shores.
There are a number of Game of Thrones-inspired tours and family themed activities that have been created due to the popularity of the show, so you don't have to be a fan to join in the fun.
You can dress up in costume and enjoy a day of archery or take a self-guided cycle tour of some of the shows film locations - there really is something for everyone to enjoy.

Find the caves here where Melisandre gave birth to her 'shadow baby' along the Antrim Coast in an area portrayed as the Stormlands.
Dark Hedges
Drive along the King's Road which led Ned Stark to his death and Arya Stark away from King's Landing. This is probably one of the most photographed landmarks on the Game of Thrones Map and a hidden road on the way to Bushmills.
Ballycastle
This small town has been used as the Free Cities where Varys was born and is the most northerly point of the Antrim Coast and Glens coastline which is an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Ballintoy Harbour
This idyllic fishing town is featured as the Iron Islands and is where Theon meets his long lost sister before riding to the Greyjoy home. Close by is Larrybane and Carrick-a-Rede Ropebridge, Renly Baratheon's camp.

Castle Ward
Featured as Winterfell, this National Trust property had sheds and barns remodelled to take on a Game of Thrones look and the farmyard was transformed. Have a go at archery in the very place where young Bran was taught by Jon Snow - in the courtyard aka 'Winterfell'.
Stand in a recreated Game of Thrones archery film set tipi, dress in a Game Of Thrones like costume to look the part and get ready to take aim.
Tollymore Forest Park
North of Winterfell, fans will recognise the woodland where Nightwalkers were spotted and the Direwolf pups were found.
Inch Abbey
This medieval building was used as the set for the Riverlands scenes, where Robb Stark's army wait at the Trident to cross.
